Project Overview

This is the first major project to be undertaken by Life’s Essentials and is a natural development from the smaller-scale work already undertaken with Sri Lankan schools.

The project is planned initially to run for three years in Derbyshire, but later being extended to other areas of the UK and for longer periods if successful.

Objectives

The objectives of the project are to work with UK and Sri Lanka schools to develop links between individual schools for the purpose of:

1. Raising funds for the development and improvement of basic facilities for the Sri Lanka school,

2. Facilitation of educational and cultural exchange, and provide material for UK students’ Citizenship qualifications.

3. Provide a basis for elements to contribute to the International School Award for the UK School.
